The work of Dame Elisabeth Frink, a truly established name in the world of sculpture, is now on display  at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park‘s Weston Gallery.  Natural Connection gathers pieces bequeathed to YSP in 2020 by the artist’s family, many of which are shown together for the very first time.

Frink’s subject matter is broad, from the human figure and busts to her love of the natural world, particularly animals. Their timeless quality means the sculptures carry the same, equally relevant messages from many decades ago to the viewers of today. When portraying people, the artist focused less on likeness and more on the human condition, full of complex, conflicting emotions.

Visitors to the Park will find Frink’s work both in the gallery and outdoors.
