Edward Scissorhands at HOME Manchester, Manchester 8 December 2017 Tickets from £5.00 — Book now

Director Tim Burton harbours a long fascination with Mary Shelley’s gothic novel, Frankenstein; reusing and reinterpreting the tale in the likes of Frankenweenie and Corpse Bride. Perhaps most famous of all though, is Edward Scissorhands – the director’s first collaboration with Johnny Depp. Screening at HOME on Friday 8th December, this gentle story of an outsider trying to fit in – and overcome a tendency to cause accidental destruction with the blades on his hands – is quintessential Burton, right up to its festive ice-sculpting finale.
