Oh you Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang we love you!

Our favourite flying, floating car is coming to Manchester and we are so ready! Experience a fun-filled, musical adventure as Chitty Chitty Bang Bang arrives at the Palace Theatre Manchester in March 2025. This energising, award-winning show, directed by Thom Southerland and choreographed by Karen Bruce (known for Strictly Come Dancing), is packed with heaps of fun, music and magical moments.

Based on Ian Fleming’s well-known story, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang follows the wild adventures of Caractacus Potts, an absent-minded, slightly crazy inventor, and his sweet children, Jemima and Jeremy. Together, they restore an old banger racing car, only to discover it has magical powers! Along with the kind and beautiful Truly Scrumptious, the family sets off on a terrific, exciting journey to faraway magical lands where, uh-oh!-something isn’t right. Children are nowhere to be seen and there’s an strange, unpleasant child catcher roaming the streets with very alluring sweets and lollies and chocolate. We smell a rat!

The musical features unforgettable songs by the Sherman Brothers, including Toot Sweets, Hushabye Mountain, Truly Scrumptious, and the famous title song, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

Before you ask, yes – you will be singing and dancing along from the moment the show begins to the moment it ends, so get your dancing shoes on and be prepared to tap those toes.

Don’t let this show take off without you – book your tickets for Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at Palace Theatre today.
