Birmingham Royal Ballet return to The Lowry this March with their lavish production of Swan Lake.

Beautifully set to Tchaikovsky’s legendary score played live by the Royal Ballet Sinfonia, Swan Lake has captivated audiences for generations and is arguably ballet’s greatest love story.

A moonlit lake provides the scene where a grieving prince witnesses the transformation of a swan into a beautiful princess. Trapped by an evil sorcerer’s curse, the beautiful princess is compelled to spend her days in the form of a bird, returning only to her human form at night. Only the power of true love can break the spell; can Prince Siegfried save her or will he succumb to the magician Rothbart’s malevolent curse?

Filled with the most stunning pas de deux, breathtakingly beautiful solos and masterful corps de ballet, the Birmingham Royal Ballet are truly magical to watch. Their spectacular version of Swan Lake is a complete joy for both ballet first-timers and seasoned dance enthusiasts. Don’t miss out.
