Pumpkin Carving workshop at the Beck and Call
Carmel Smickersgill, Tours & Activities EditorThe holiday season is incoming! Get ready to embrace the time of year in which the days get shorter, the nights get colder and we gather together to celebrate in every and any way we can. What better way to fully enter into the festivities than to share that, frankly just a bit weird, tradition of carving faces into large orange fruit. Side note: Pumpkins are a large fruit in the eyes of botanists because they are seed bearing. Join the Beck and Call in Meanwood, Leeds for a friendly pumpkin carving workshop.
It’s worth noting that this session is strictly for over 18’s as there will be sharp objects involved in the process. No prior experience is needed though and everything will be provided on the day, including a tea light to illuminate your pumpkin’s cute little spooky face when you get home.
Like every craft session at the Beck and Call you can expect a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, as well as some excellent beers to accompany your crafting. These sessions are a great way to meet new people, learn new crafts and feel connected to the community. Whether you’re a celebrator of halloween or just fancy carving up a pumpkin for fun, enter into the spirit of autumn regardless of how spooky you want to make it.
This workshop is part of a wider series of craft and arts sessions running in the pub over autumn, check out their website to find more information and give something new a go.
