Fatima Bhutto will deliver a speech originally written for the Sydney Writer’s Festival but never broadcast, reflecting on Islamophobia, Western Feminism and race.

She is the bestselling author of Songs of Blood and Sword, a memoir about her father’s life and assassination, and the highly praised The Runaways, an unflinching and moving portrait of radicalism, belonging and Muslim identity.

Fane Online is a curated series of broadcast-quality live-streamed events, giving you the chance to watch exclusive shows with celebrated authors, actors and podcasters, all from the comfort of your own home. HOME are partnering with some of the country’s top regional theatres and independent bookshops. The event will initially be broadcast on 1 November at 18:30 UK time. It will be available to view up to 48 hours after the event has ended and can be accessed Worldwide.
