HOME Manchester

HOME, Manchester’s £25m cross-arts venue, is one of the city’s crown jewels when it comes to culture. With two theatres, five cinema screens, a large gallery, restaurant, bar, café and bookshop, HOME is something of a destination venue in the city. Shaped like a wider, shinier version of its predecessor, Cornerhouse, and based down the road at the heart of a wide-open plaza, HOME’s a big old venue that hosts an often-innovative, challenging and unique programme of art, theatre and film.

HOME’s first-floor restaurant is highly recommended, and does a mean line in vegetarian and vegan options, as well as more carnivorous pizzas, burgers and sandwiches, brunch, and Sunday roasts. It’s spacious yet cosy, with dark wooden tables, low slung lamps and a huge HOME sign, in case you forget you aren’t, in fact, at your own.
