Set 300 feet above sea level and with spectacular views of Liverpool, Wirral and out to the Irish Sea, Panoramic 34 should be top of your list for fine dining in Merseyside.

Panoramic 34 is one of the UK’s highest restaurants and sits 90 metres above Liverpool’s Brook Street in the business district, towering above the Royal Liver Building, docks old and new, as well as a sweeping view of the city’s rooftops to the east. On a clear day you might even see the Welsh mountains.

Like 20 Stories in Manchester’s Spinningfields, Panoramic 34 boasts ceiling to floor windows with a breathtaking 360 degree aspect, but there’s plenty more to get giddy about than just the views. Part of the fun is ascending up the lift and stepping out into the reception and schmoozy bar area, where you’ll find hip lounge lizards enjoying the extensive cocktail menu and bar snacks.

In contrast, the dining area is contemporary and cool, but just as special, with attentive service and all the finer details that you’d expect from a Michelin Guide restaurant. This isn’t really the place for a fleeting visit, it’s the place for an ‘experience’, whether that’s a business lunch, birthday celebration or a romantic dinner date. Panoramic 34 will definitely score you plenty of brownie points, whoever you choose to take with you.

The Tasting Menu at £89 is worth every penny (£139 with wine) and each dish is a miniature work of art. Head Chef Elliot Hill previously worked at the Oddfellows hotel in Chester, the Park Tavern in London’s Wandsworth and Hotel Gotham in Manchester. Expect the likes of salt baked beetroot, corn fed chicken and black pudding press, curried monkfish and highland venison.

Panoramic 34 also offers breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea, so you can feel on top of the world whatever the time of day or season. With impeccable service, beautiful food and incredible views, Panoramic 34 affords a dining experience that’s elevated on every level. You might never want to come back down.
