As Bradford’s night life expands, the city is seeing a renaissance of music from local bands and beyond. Situated in the centre of town (just off Kirkgate), Nightrain cranks up the volume every weekend as cover bands, local acts and occasionally an unexpected big name take to the stage. As a fairly recent addition to the city, they specialise in (but aren’t limited to) particularly good rock gigs. This is the place to visit if you’re looking for a loud time.

Experience the talent, heart and sense of humour among the local musicians.

At the cosy capacity of 400, Nightrain combines the electric atmosphere and style of a gig venue with the intimacy and friendliness of a pub. Similar to other Northern cities, Bradford has a rich musical culture, from DIY venues that meet in the middle of activism and entertainment, to places like Nightrain which help fuel bands, scenes and a public appetite for live entertainment. It is well worth stepping off the beaten track and visiting the local gig scene when you stay in Bradford, if only to experience the talent, heart and sense of humour among the local musicians.

If you’re keen to support local venues, you can help Nightrain by purchasing their new range of edgy merchandise. From face-coverings to hoodies, T-Shirts and neck warmers, you can proudly wear their signature Skull logo in a variety of configurations. As is typical from merch being sold in a Yorkshire winter, a lot of items are very practical for keeping you warm.
